VASP Installation Errors: mpif90: error libraries: libimf.so

#1 Post by manoj_wijesingha » Wed Sep 21, 2022 7:33 pm

Hello,
I am trying to install vasp.6.3.1 but it gives errors. I use RedHat 8 Linux with AMD 16-core processor for my programs. Here is the error link:
"mpif90: error while loading shared libraries: libimf.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

I used the makefile.include.gnu to make .include file, gcc/11.2.0, openmpi/4.1.4-intel_20.2, aocl/2.2-4 and aocc/2.3.0 compiler libraries for installation.

Could you please help me figure out and install VASP for this OS.
Thank you

Manoj.

Please try the aocc makefiles in the arch directory.

Hello,
Thank you for your response and appreciate it, I actually used aocc, aocl, openmpi/4.1.4-intel_20.2 and hdf5/1.12.2 library modules to create makefile.include and compile the VASP. But it gives an error by mpif90 : libimf.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.
Could you please help me to install VASP on this cluster.
Thank you.

Manoj.

actually used aocc, aocl, openmpi/4.1.4-intel_20.2 and hdf5/1.12.2 library modules

So you mean you tested aocc and intel ifort separately?

Please post your makefile.include and the corresponding exact toolchains you used.
